Does USCIS require Form I-765 to be filed online?

No. Mandatory Electronic Filing (e-Filing) (91 FR 51924) is an Interim final rule with request for comments, published 2026-08-11 with comments open until 2026-10-13. It does not make any form online-only today: where an online path exists it is an option, and paper filing remains available. The rule is published in full in the Federal Register.

Filing online does not check your form

Whichever path you use, USCIS does not review a form for mistakes before it is accepted — a wrong edition, a missing signature or a blank required field is found at intake, and the filing comes back. FormGuard reads a completed I-765 and reports what would get it rejected, before you send it.
